Ardere is a curatorial duo — Art Director Manuela Nobile and curator Sara Van Bussel — staging contemporary art inside clubs and nightlife venues. This art studio website was designed and built in WordPress to speak credibly to both the art world and the club circuit, bringing the energy of their events into the digital space.

The challenge
Ardere is a curatorial duo — art director Manuela Nobile and curator Sara Van Bussel — who stage contemporary art inside clubs and nightlife venues rather than galleries. The site had to read as credible to the art world and to the club world at once: serious enough for curators and artists, but carrying the energy of the events themselves. A conventional white-cube gallery template would have undersold half of what they do.
My approach
The design leans into the nocturnal side of the format, using contrast and image-led layouts so that documentation from past events carries the page instead of long explanatory copy. Everything runs on WordPress because the duo need to publish new exhibitions themselves, quickly, around event dates rather than development cycles.
The outcome
Ardere now has a single public home for the project at arderestudio.com: past exhibitions, the curatorial premise and the two founders, all editable without a developer. The site works as the reference link they send to artists, venues and press.
