Description
Costwise is an AI-powered web cost estimator that guides users through a conversational questionnaire to generate transparent, itemized quotes for web projects. The site focuses on making pricing clear and accessible, combining an interactive chat interface with real-time cost breakdowns in a clean, content-managed landing page.

The challenge
Quoting a web project is where most client relationships get awkward. Agencies hide pricing behind a contact form, so prospects have no idea whether a project costs two thousand euros or twenty, and both sides waste a call finding out. Costwise needed to answer that question before anyone picks up the phone — without oversimplifying it into a single misleading number.
My approach
Rather than a static price table, the estimate is built through a conversational questionnaire: the visitor answers a short sequence of questions about scope, pages, integrations and timeline, and the interface assembles an itemised breakdown in real time as they go. The cost logic and the copy behind every question live in Sanity, so pricing can be adjusted without touching the code. The front end is Next.js, with the marketing landing page managed from the same CMS.
The outcome
Costwise ships as a working estimator at costwise.ai rather than a mockup: a visitor arrives, answers the questionnaire and leaves with a transparent, itemised quote they can act on. Because the pricing rules are content rather than code, the model can be tuned as the market moves without a developer in the loop.
